The Christian approach is that the religious text, the Bible, works in concert with the holy Spirit which God sends to illuminate the text to the mind of the reader, soften the heart, and effect conversion, culminating in regeneration.
The point is that man, with unaided human intellect, cannot find God.
Other religions are about man seeking God; Christianity is about God seeking man.
So, Ask, and you shall receive, Seek, and you shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened unto you
